Kate & Eli, married this past summer at Woolman Hill, a Quaker Retreat Center in Deerfield, Massachusetts. While simple in setting, it was one of the most unique and beautiful weddings. Most details came together through their own creativity and hard work, and the rest from countless friends and family. The colorful hand dyed streamers - all Kate, and plant based dyes. Interesting fact - the beautiful pinks came from avocado pits!
The ceremony, held in the quaker meeting house, was filled to the brim with guests. All who shared in group tai chi, song, readings and guided meditation. An important part of the ceremony was also about energy clearing, which included a conch shell, crystals and the wing of a barred owl. The bohemian vibe to this wedding was everywhere.
A couple extra favorite things of note from this Western Mass wedding - first, Woolman Hill has an absolutely adorable rustic cabin in the woods they call The Sunrise Cabin (pictured below and in the main gallery). Second, they had loads of bread loafs at the reception (heart eyes), all provided by Hungry Ghost Bread, a sourdough based bakery in Northampton, Massachusetts (aka my all time favorite bakery and one that I probably frequent way to much).
