"For last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice." - T.S. Elliot
The perfect way to ring in this New Year - a sunrise hike on Mt. Monadnock in New Hampshire. Matt and I had spent many days on this mountain in 2015, and it seemed like a fitting way to begin 2016. Probably the first year I've ever gone to bed on New Years Eve well before the midnight hour, but we do what we have to! Especially when committed to plans you made from a far enough distance to not really be concerned about things like waking up super early and hiking up a mountain through the frigid darkness. Noooooo.
Well, morning came, and I rallied. We saw a couple other hikers on our way up the mountain, and reached the summit with only minutes before sunrise. The plan was to enjoy an oatmeal brekkie with mimosas, but oh my it was a frozen tundra - should have brought a hydro flask of hot cocoa instead!
Cheers & Happy New Year!
As the year winds down, I've now found some time to catch up with sharing images from the lovely weddings I had the pleasure of documenting this year. While I love photographing anything and everything in the woods, it was a breath of fresh salty air to be able to photograph some seaside fête's in 2015! Starting off with Kaitlin & Oliver's beautiful and intimate wedding on the rocky shore of Connecticut.
What a pleasure it was to spend the day and evening with these two, and their amazing group of friends and family. Great conversations, super yummy food, and one supremely talented blues band...loved loved loved my time with these people!
